Matthew Axelson - Navy SEAL, Navy Cross Recipient, Operation Red Wings

As a native of California, Matt pursued a career in the US Navy after college graduation.  He entered the elite Navy SEALS and was stationed in Hawaii before deploying to Afghanistan in 2005.  

In June of that same year, he was part of a four-man reconnaissance team that was compromised by locals who alerted the enemy.  Outnumbered 50 to 1, the SEALs vigorously fought their way down the steep mountainside.  It was there that Matt and his team would make their final stand and become the most decorated Navy SEAL team in history.
